15th December – We will confirm orders received. If sufficient order numbers are recieved then the production of the book will proceed.

Custom book buyers will be required to send images needed together with any cover images by mid January.

5th March the books will be completed and printing orders will be sent.

30 March. Books posted.

Please note **If everyone send their images in on time this process should be far quicker.

The race will not be including blogs this year but if wanted you can still add some text into your personal pages for custom books or we can just use more space for images. If you want to send text please do it at the same time at your images so we can do your page layouts.

Please

  • forward your images by 30 December via dropbox or email – We will forward you instructions how. If using dropbox make sure you place everything in a named folder – team name number and your name. You will need to place it in a ZIP file
  • forward your cover image if applicable by dropbox with your other images and include some text in a word doc of similar if wanted. I run a pc so no apple docs please. Just email me text if needed. Please place your team number, name and your name on any text documents. There are no official blogs this race.

Nothing at all unless you have also ordered a cover image. You will need to email the cover image to info@photoevents.net.au. We will keep you updated with progress. If you dont received any communication please email us.

Please use a shipping address where someone is there all the time so the package can be signed for if required.

Please make sure your shipping address is one where the book can be signed for. Eg work or office or similar. All overseas orders will be sent by toll express.

Please make sure we have you mobile number. Toll will not take deliveries without one.

Please make sure we have your personal identification number if needed. Toll will not take one without one in countries that require this.

Check you import dollar limits. Any import taxes are yours to cover.

You can send your own images or you can choose some from the official Flickr page, Geocentric Outdoors Facebook. If choosing from official images please send filenames and brief description only for these shots. example

You should be able to copy and post the filename from flickr (bottom left) and facebook (in the description).

Please dont send official flickr/facebook images without filenames – these will all have arws logos. I cant locate them.

Any images that don’t have a filename/arws logo’s means I don’t have access to the high res images.

The only time I can use Facebook images is of you want me to use them as sent. These files are small and generally unsuitable for good printing but they can be used in a small image but quality will be greatly reduced.

I will send more information but how to find you images on Flickr after ordering.

If sending your own images usually 2mb is plenty but if you use dropbox it won’t matter to me. Images off Flickr – just send the low res. I will get out the high res and process. If sending an image for a cover please send the largest you have.

Standard Books – for a cover image you can send by email to info@photoevents.net.au. Include your name and team details or you can load with your other iamges to dropbox.

Custom Books – you can email images to info@photoevents.net.au however I will be sending links to all custom book buyers to allow them to upload via dropbox. This can be a far easier and quicker method. Please make sure you name your folder with your team number and name eg 45 fastriders_JamesSmith

If choosing from official images – they have the arws and 2016 logos on them you only need to send me the filename and brief description. You can email me the others of you can load to dropbox. I will get the originals out.

Generally in a “landscape” layout and highest res available. Please send want you want and I can advise suitability. I will give these images some basic photoshop to a suitable standard so they look their best. Please email your image to info@photoevents.net.au

I will confirm receipt of pics by email and start preparing your individual pages. You will receive within 2-3 weeks a pdf layout of your team page and you blog and image pages.

I have been ordering the same books for 7 years and have no problems with quality. If you provide me your own images these will not look at good as the others in the book. Why – most others are taken with high quality cameras and lenses and the processed in photoshop to look their best. I will not be processing your images in photoshop as this is a timely process. Most find the quality very good and has been selected as a excellent compromise between price and quality. They are considered to be coffee table style book not a fine art print book.

This book doesn’t offer personal design services. It is simply trying to put out a book in a financially viable manner. If you want something different it can be done but $90 per hour is charged.

You are allowed one edit/change to text/images. Any edits after this will cost $20 per time. Please check over you layouts to make sure it is all ok. Once they are printed it is too late.

Yes there is a minium number of book orders needed to proceed. I will confirm if this has been achieved by 15th December.

If minimum orders are not received all payments will be fully refunded.

I need to order ALL BOOKs at the same time to take advantage of a discount for a bulk order. Without this the production of books is unviable. The main book takes approx. 4 -6 weeks work plus each individual book approx. 3 hours.

If all custom book buyers send their images by 30 Dec this should allow and earlier delivery date. However history shows this doesn’t always happen. I need to order all the books in one go to be viable.

No problems provided you cancel before I have done work on your custom book layouts I will arrange a full refund. If you cancel after these are done $50 is charged to cover some of time expended. Standard books full refund before printing ordered. Care print date may be earlier than March 2017.
